For his own piece Voutilainen dialed back the sportiness of the case by using tantalum and not just a link 36912 dial like link found on link his 28SC model but the 28SC central seconds movement and no luminous hands. "The dial is just sportier" he told me. Tantalum meanwhile is very hard durable corrosion resistant and has a beautiful lustrous blue-grey sheen but is also notoriously hard to machine. Nevertheless it was the right metal for Voutilainen.
