Fashion is now a democratic space. Previously a system dictated by rules it became undone during the youthquake of the late '60s when young people and black culture started to hold heavy sway on what people wore. Of course individuals had always been link fashionable link but they were dressed according to the demands of society. The '70s saw fashion turn a curve and abandon codes of dress set by the upper classes. The dial shifted to a kind of sartorial freedom that had never link been seen before.
