The release link of the Antarctique spread like wildfire, and it's since expanded in a series of limited-edition runs, with new link dial colorways, collaborations with media outlets, and in August of last year, a split-seconds chronograph. The Antarctique Rattrapante, which I covered when it was introduced at Geneva Watch Days, link ended up being Czapek's most attention-grabbing debut to date.

While the midsize Overseas is thinner than the 41mm (9.3mm vs. 11mm), I feel it loses some of this elegance. To be clear, I'm not sure there's a solution – it's difficult to get that same shocking thinness when a watch is 34.5mm. Not link to mention, it's probably a non-trivial technical accomplishment to link make an even thinner movement if you want the midsize Overseas to link maintain a robust, full-rotor automatic caliber – the cal. 1088/1 inside is already just 3.83mm.

Perhaps more interestingly, the link bezel uses a black-colored and Dia-Shield-coated stainless steel insert. While rolex air king 126900 many other brands, and even Seiko, often opt for inexpensive aluminum or somewhat link more costly ceramic inserts, the SPB sports steel. I've seen reports quoting other materials, but have double (triple, even) checked with Seiko U.S. and Seiko Japan, with both confirming the bezel insert is stainless steel.
