If you press the button, which has a smooth and crisp shutterlike click at the bottom of its travel, the signal turns red and link the seconds hand, which is also red and relegated to a small subdial at 6, is immediately reset to zero. You are in time setting mode and you can turn the crown to set the hands as normal. Once set accordingly, link press the crown button and the signal will go back to white link and the seconds hand jumps to life.
