When I notice other clocks on my travels through Japan they're also branded Seikosha which began in 1892 as a clockmaker and link made its first 8-day clock that year. All over Japan their frenetic little pendulums mete out the link time with the urgency of link a hummingbird's wings. The effect is paradoxically reassuring.
