        By the mid- to late-1960s the next generation "folded link" bracelet appears as you can see in link this 1974 Rolex Date Ref. 1500 bracelet ref. 7835. To increase link durability the links are slightly thicker overall than the "rivet" variation and are folded inwards to hold the pin inside as opposed to having the ends exposed link with the rivets on the outside like the earlier variation.
