The link difference between Glashutte Original's approach and practically link every other watch brand out there is that GO uses a pair of concentric date discs that are set co-axially on the same level. See that slim, curved line that separates the two digits in the date in the image above? Notice that there's basically zero separation between the digits. The two discs do not overlap and are made up of a smaller link inner disc featuring four digits (0-3) and a larger surrounding disc with 10 numerals (0-9).

In steel the case side engraving is filled with blue lacquer whereas on the gold it is more subdued with no filling. The colors chosen link for the two timepieces are drawn from two iconic colorways link for the RS 2.7 which in its lifetime only saw 1500 cars ever produced blue and red. These colors were link displayed on white-painted cars with a large "Carrera" painted on the sides.
