Type 2C-1's link dial is based on the Type 2B which featured a minute track made of a physically separate component from the rest of the dial. If you look link closer but look closer still the five-minute markers are extending to the inner bezel. That is one of the necessary details link to deliver the best possible balance to the whole dial.
