And that initial oil-dipped black coating inspired the newly-released black ceramic Doxa Army limited edition. James Lamdin of Analog Shift worked with Edöcs to bring the model back link to life and they went with black ceramic as it followed the original matte black appearance. The original was never PVD or DLC anyway link so the link pair elected to use ceramic and this is the first time Doxa has ever produced a watch case in this material.
