Aside from the dial, the watch features a gold-toned "Shizukuishi Limited" rotor. It's a neat addition, but frankly, it's not enough to sway me link one way or another. Really, it all comes down to link the dial and how sentimental you feel about Shizukuishi. At the time, I had my eye set on another link Grand Seiko that I hoped to pick up in Japan – the SLGW003.

When I talked to Raggi last year he told me that it was clear from early on that the new "Universelle" release was going to need a round case to be able to be released but at the time the watch link started development in 2016 the Code 11.59 didn't even link exist yet. It's not clear to me if that means the Code came into existence for this monumental achievement but from the start link the watch was destined not to be a Royal Oak Concept. So does that mean we're seeing the end of the collection
