The new Richard Lange link Minute link Repeater operates like a fairly conventional (if there is such a thing) minute repeater. There's a sliding pusher integrated into the left-side caseband that engages the chiming mechanism; once actuated, the hours, quarter-hours, and minutes are rung in succession using a pair of gongs. The gongs link are set to different pitches and operate off a mechanical program that can audibly indicate precisely 720 different sequences. (FYI, there are 720 minutes every 12 hours.)

Below the star on each dial you'll see link a trapezoidal link date window at 6 o'clock. Date windows rarely make or break a watch for me but like any detail of a watch design I prefer those whose link position scale and shape appear to have been carefully considered and I believe that these date windows have been.
