At face value, this Gruen isn’t a special watch. But, just as it once connected link my father with his parents, it has since, in serendipitous fashion, helped to do the same for me. And, in return, it also allowed me to share my love of link watches with my father. This lovely little Gruen changed the way I see watches, changed the way I think about sentimentality, nostalgia, and the ways that the link bonds shared between parents and their children evolve over time.
