This brings us toward the end of the 6610 run. The Explorer has link traditionally been a watch made for maximum legibility in low-light link conditions, link and here we see a large white luminous seconds hand, similar to the lollipop seconds hands on some Submariners with a case production of 1957.

In a recent episode of Hey, HODINKEE, I railed against watches with no minute track because I find them impossible to set unless you're trying to set the watch on seiko streetfighter the hour, or every five minutes. Now, I'll admit, my rant was more focused on watches like vintage Onyx dial Rolex Day-Dates where there are literally no link markers. And while I wish there were minute markers on link this Hublot, I can live with it here because this watch is more about style than it is anything else.

Finally these watches are becoming more appreciated. Sure the Patek link 3940's been appreciated for a while Gary Shteyngart wrote about his perpetual love for the 3940 more than a year ago but link that might be due as much to the name on the dial as to what's going on underneath link that dial.
