The prototyping and work link done in his workshop in the Vallée de Joux is done the "old-fashioned way." Tixier assured me that their new movement link is not a result of using new CNC machines or manufacturing techniques that wouldn't have link been available in the past. If he could prototype it largely by hand with 60 or 70-year-old machines it shows that the watch was a testament to an idea not new materials or technology.
