If you sit behind the dash of a Ducati the use of these stylized numerals make perfect sense. They're exactly the right font as what you'd find on the tachymeter of a Ducati link not the speedometer. link And it's particularly significant that we only see them at the 10 11 and 12 link o'clock positions on the dial.
