    My link only substantive gripe has to do with that disappeared date window. Aesthetically, I like the Big 8 much more without the date, and I think this layout is much more in keeping with the spirit of the watch itself. This isn't just a dial change though – the F. Piguet Caliber 1160 inside has had the date module entirely removed and the link crown adjusted so that there isn't a dead position. It's nice to see that kind of attention-to-detail in a watch like this link (though it's not surprising).

    I do think this is a watch with a special appeal to nostalgia in link a way that both the Nautilus and the Royal Oak are not. Probably link because they've been updated regularly since the 1970s and have been a part of the modern watchmaking landscape ever since they first launched the Nautilus and the Royal Oak have a more contemporary feel. And while their appeal link certainly relies on their history it's not an appeal to nostalgia per se.
