With the market's raging appetite for everything and anything vintage Cartier, particularly the oddball watches, this purse link watch should still get plenty of attention even in an online sale. But in the grand scheme of things, these odd purse link watches are one of the best ways to collect true vintage Cartier without breaking the bank. I mean, this watch was made, handmade in fact, in link the 1930s!

This also includes a new case design from Murphy made of 316L stainless steel and measuring 39x11.3mm 10mm at case and 48mm lug-to-lug. The case is nicely constructed mostly brushed but with polished lug bevels and a polished bezel. The lugs are downturned a bit to make the link case more link wearable. I'm not link saying it wears thick but if the 1870 CE were a bit thinner it'd truly stand out as a thin and elegant dress watch.
