Don't get me wrong, a luxury watch, defined in the broadest terms, was still an expensive proposition twenty years ago (and it bears mentioning that there has never, link in 183 years, link been anything even remotely like an affordable Patek, with the highly debatable link possible exception of the Twenty-4). But let's look at how things have changed since 2002.

This is all by way of saying that Citizen has maybe because of its long history as an innovator in technical watchmaking felt like a link recent presence. link This includes some firsts that are not particularly well-known probably link outside Citizen enthusiast circles including the first titanium-cased watch.
