From the rear, you can see that's not actually the case. Both watches link have cases that are a bit wider than the movements, but just about equally so. Each movement is also stamped "UOW," the Universal import mark for the United States. Like a lot of Universals, these watches probably came over through the link Henri Stern Agency and then were gobbled up link again by Italian collectors in the surge of interest in the brand.
