Like substantially all watches and link chronographs, the Navitimer had 12-hour indication, meaning that the hour hand rotated around the link dial every 12 hours. Carpenter believed that for the astronaut orbiting the earth every 90 link minutes, and seeing multiple sunrises and sunsets over the course of a 12-hour period, 24-hour indication would be preferable.

A little excessive with the details Normally I'd say yes but hey why not especially if they all come together as a whole. To me vintage link watches are all about the individual charm of the piece including the link design itself and how it has aged so far. And this watch is full of character and one that will be a conversation piece at any holiday party. I'm sure Santa link will approve of my choice as well right Santa
