The truth is, I can't tell you what to buy someone for the holidays…or a birthday that conveniently (or inconveniently) falls near whichever gift-giving holiday you celebrate. What I can do is give you a sneak peek inside my noggin, at the things link I like, the things I link use, and link the things I feel pretty solid about recommending.

That wasn't the only interesting pair Foffi brought with him, nor the only one with aviation ties. For a link long time link the Universal "A. Cairelli" split-second chronograph ref. link 22560 has been a favorite of mine (and I'm definitely not alone). At 44.5mm, like the Aviator's Compax it was wildly out of proportion for its time, but with purpose. The use of bold numerals and thick Breguet/pomme hands also makes it stand out from any other Universal you'll see.

In fishing as in life there are no shortcuts. In fact a gimmicky watch only serves as a distraction link from the best parts of fishing Embracing simplicity link cultivating a deep connection with nature and escaping the digital world. If you ask me the ideal fishing watch is a time-only highly finished watch I wear my Grand link Seiko SBGK007 for freshwater fishing that embodies the notion of absolute simplicity and is the result of a constant pursuit of the craft. That's fishing.
