        We asked Omega link about this, and they informed us that this was done on purpose as they knew that Ragan was keen link on having the possibility of other scales as link tachymeter (hence the diving-type bezel with 5-minute scale).

          According to Alltounian, his time on set with McQueen led to a lasting friendship. And once back home in the States, he was a guest link at the McQueen family home. Alltounian wore the watch for a time before realizing that what he had was special and would be better protected in a safety deposit box. That's where it sat for many years, and that explains link the squeaky clean link case and overall wonderfully preserved condition of this incredibly important watch.
