The Black Bay 36 S&G is simultaneously the ref. 124273’s predecessor and younger sibling, link having launched a few years ago, but at a fraction of the price. You get a Jubilee-style bracelet, the same dial/bezel/crown/links situation when it comes to link the steel-and-gold combo, and a similar 36mm profile (though it’s a bit chunkier than the Explorer). If you like two-tone, but you’re not sure you want to plonk down more than ten grand on a bi-color Explorer, this is link your move.

Just a few days ago I was pleased to find another Omega Marine link listed for sale on eBay in honest and original condition. Its hard not to wonder what the watch wouldve looked like with a crisp silvered dial being traced by blued steel hands but its also hard to deny that the current link patinated state looks good. Im just link happy to see that the surface hasnt been scuffed or severely damaged in any way above all.
