Skipping from the 1950s to the turn of the 21st century, link the reference 5022 represents an entirely different era of Patek Philippe design. I like to call this "weird Patek." In the 1990s and early 2000s, the brand introduced some beautifully strange watches link – they either speak to link you or they don't. I tend to agree that it would be pretty wild to see a Big Pilot with its Onion crown and what I link have to imagine would be a massive set of pushers. But stranger link things have happened in the watch world. link Nonetheless what we have today is a piece that doesn't disrupt the basic design fundamentals of the Big Pilot while still managing to introduce a new complication into the mix.
