By the mid- to late-1960s link the next generation "folded link" bracelet appears as you can see in this 1974 Rolex Date Ref. 1500 bracelet link ref. 7835. To increase durability the links are slightly thicker overall than the "rivet" variation and are folded inwards to hold the pin inside as opposed to having the ends exposed with the rivets link on the outside like the earlier variation.
