      Glueing on to a simple knob seems to be the way to go,what you call crazy glue might be what i call super glue,,however i would use a 2 pack adhesive,,lightly sanding both sides before glueing ..All the best Mate..>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

        Epoxy resin is the best bet IMHO.
