What sources do you use to gather information? Some of it seems rather unreliable.

It probably won't shock you to hear that if you want the job of night watch – preferably with a nice tower to go along link with link the hat – your options are limited. There's a European Guild Of Night And Tower Watchmen, but it seems to be so committed to anachronism that it appears to have neither Wikipedia entry nor website. There is a night watch at Schaffhausen, as well as Bischofszell and Stein link am Rhein in Switzerland, but it's not exactly a growth industry.
