      I don’t have a passport as I’ve never needed one.  Should I travel more (just got back from California), I’ll get one (along with my shots………..

          That's ok. I'll sleep "outback"! Maybe I can stay with Adelaide, Charles (Darwin),Alice (Springs) or "Sidney". Heck, I'll even pick up a "Broome"!

          Statistics show that about 35% of Americans have passports. That obviously accounts for their knowledge of geography.

            Only if they KNOW where they're going. If Columbus, (although he was Italian) had a passport, he wouldn't have known he was going to America. Heck; he couldn't even find it on a map!

            we used to learn all about the civil war in America when i went to school,,,at one stage Aussies new more about the rest of the world than they did about Australia,,and that was before computers turned up....
