        Usually because there is back pain, but it can come and go. When our daughter had it she was only 16 years old. The only reason it was found was because she was in a car accident and her pain wouldn't go away. X-rays didn't show anything at all, but an MRI showed the tumor on her lower spine between S1 and S2. Most often bone cancer is not diagnosed until late stage.

          extreme pain on the back , hips, legs, etc. And the bones sometimes break by themselves. Lack of appetite.
