      a disease in which defective metabolism of uric acid causes arthritis, esp. in the smaller bones of the feet, deposition of chalkstones, and episodes of acute pain.

        excessive uric acid in the blood which settles in the big toe. I know, I had it and it hurts like hell. am now on meds to prevent recurrence

          Very painful affliction of the big toe. Was said to be caused by too much alcohol, however know someone who is TT and he gfrequently gets gout.

            Bulidup of uric acid in joints. These needle-like crystals can cause some sharp pain. Taking a teaspoon of baking soda helps by nutralizing the acis.
