Do ia have a lawsuit if my surgeon did not do any testing for 6 months of PAIN which ended up in emergent intervention

I had spinal surgery app 2 years ago and 6 months later i started to have excruciating pain!  I persistantly went to said surgeon over the course of 6 months informing him of changes and increased pain.  NO tests were performed whatsoever and no physical assessment  After 6 months my primary had to attend a visit and encourage an MRI.   That MRI showed emergent need for repeat surgery.  Now i have permanent neuro involvement after the second procedure dut to shards of disc penetrating the sciatic nerve over the 6 months of non-treatment.

Definitely talk with a malpractice lawyer about this one....

My advice is the same as lindilou's.  Ask for a complete copy of your medical records from your primary and surgery doctors before you go...INSIST.   A good malpractice surgeon should be able to help.  TELL HIM THE WHOLE TRUTH.

I truly hope you have some recourse and your condition will improve.
