Hey Kirk,I had a similar problem with my cd player..trouble is it sounds like you have a duel player ..cd and tape..there is nothing inside of a cd player, but a bit more inside of a tape player, i turned of all power, then removed the top off the player,on the tape side you will be able to have a look around, Even if you find something you probably wont be able to fix it ..but on the cd side,there might be a rubber belt,a very small one, if it is broken you will see pieces of it on the bottom,,if you take it to get repaired,,it will cost you more than it is worth,,if it is just the broken belt,Go to a shop and buy a packet of mixed size rubber bands,,use 2 rubber bands about the same size as the belt..and away you go,,i hope this has helped you out,,All the best>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<
