Depends what they had done. My son got involved in some road rage once. The police came looking for him one Saturday morning about 8am, they ask me where they could f kind him. When I said that I didn't have to tell them, their answer was, no but you can come down to the police station and help us with our enquiries. I wasn't going to spend my day off down the station, not when my son had done something stupid. Needless to say I told them where he was staying, he called me all the names under the sun afterwards, but he learnt a lesson.

your mistake was saying you did not have to tell them,,you should have said ,,do not know where he is .unless you wanted to tell them..........
Yes I should have said I didn't know Terry, but this was a few years ago just after the Labour Government at the time had just bought in the new laws, which said that if someone else was driving your vehicle you didn't have to say who it was. I think I probably thought I was being smart, but they didn't look at it that way.
