I have an Ipad about 4 years old .I erased all my info but it wont allow me torestore - It did on my iPhone 4 but do I need to down load IOS 7 or 11

I am not familiar with the Ipad. Without knowing exactly what you did, (or if you deleted the operating system by mistake) I do not think anyone here can help you. Your best best would be to contact an Ipad tech. You can contact Apple support where you will find a tech who knows this device.
