      One day longer than an ordinary year.


      Quite strange really, it seems a woman can ask a man to marry him in these years.

        In a "leap year", the month of February will have 29 instead of 28 days.  To know what year will be "leap", the year should be evenly divisible by 4. 
        Example:  1900/4 = 475.0   1900 was a leap year
                       2014/4 = 503.5   2014 is NOT a leap year.

          It is a year with an extra day in it. The year will always be able to be divided by 4  The next Leap year is 2016
