I believe he will go to his own place in heaven where he can be helped. I believe God never gives up on a Soul. From what I've been reading, he was already having a change of heart about the direction he had led the church in and was excommunicated for "advocating a kinder approach between church members", a sentiment which was ill-received. I'm sure he's been struggling with his own personal h3ll because of this. The weight of what he's done to people that God created must be crushing him in mind and spirit. He has a lot of things to atone for, but as I said, I do not believe God gives up on any Soul.
