    324,000

324,274   The four that is in bold print is in the thousands place.  To round, look at the number in the next LOWER place value.  In this case, the 2 in bold, which is in the hundreds place.  The rule for rounding that I learned and taught is:
For 0-4, do not change the place value where you are rounding. Since 2 IS between 0-4, you would write the rounded number: 324,000.
For 5-9, increase the number in the place value where you are rounding by 1.  If the number your were rounding to the nearest thousand were 324,610, you would round UP to 325,000.
Knowing what the place value of numbers is really will help solve these problems quickly.

Aw, thanks! Your spelling is fine by me.

Your clue is a question. Do you know how to read the number?

Clue: three hundred twenty four thousand, two hundred seventy four.

Where is the thousand? Do you know how to round up?

    Clue: 25

**See Tommy's comment, he got the answer. Jhharland apparently just wanted to verify it.

Whoops, missed the off. Brain went automatically to up. In school we always had to round up or down. I've always hated math for a reason. I only pay 1/2 attention to it.

It's up there in his comment to me.

We don't have the older parts anymore, so we would have to restart production link in a way. We decided not to do that because we wanted to come up with something new. We link have to stop production of a model in order to bring in a new one, because we have this way of doing things where we want to grow in quality link – to be able to sustain what we are.
