Could be dirt in fuel or water these will make it hesitate when accelerating.Also check pllugs are not sooty remove and check.Dirt in carburettor clean and check for dirt or water.Also maybe faulty fuel pump. Also check points in distributor that they are not pitted. Hope fully this may help some what best wishes Brian
