Prior to your licence expiring, WorkSafe will notify you by mail that your licence is due for renewal. Like your drivers licence it is very important that you keep your contact details up to date to ensure you are notified. Once the expiry date has passed the licence is invalid and you should not continue to do high risk work until the licence renewal has been processed.

How do I know when my licence expires?
Your licence has an expiry date which is shown on the front of the licence. Alternatively, you can check the status of you licence online.
I assume you renew through the notification you receive.
