IT COULD BELONG TO A DEALER, A SMALL SHOP'S TAKINGS,GAMBLER,OR A LITTLE FRAIL LADY -TAKE IT TO REPUTABLE POLICE IF YOU KNOW ANY!

IN MY COUNTRY ANY THING FOUND AND HANDED IN [INCLUDING MONEY] IS NOT CLAIMED AFTER 3 MONTHS, ITS YOURS TO KEEP - EXCLUDING WEAPONS
When I was working in Naples FL, I used to drive across alligator alley over a hundred miles each way. I heard on the news that someone found a duffel bag with over a million dollars and turned it in to the cops.

The area is know for planes dropping off bails and the dealers take air boats out in the swamp to pick up their drops. Personally if I found that money, I would have kept it and used it for good. I would have known that it was drug money and to me that's an instance of finders keepers.

Now on the other hand if it were a smaller amount of money and I didn't have a clue where it came from, I would turn it in. It could possibly be some honest person's money who needs it to keep their business a float or something like that.
hmmmm, depends on my mood and situation. if i was in a bad mood, i would take the money and use it only if i'm hundred percent sure nobody saw me, nobody would know.
2nd if i was feeling good and all peaceful and happy, maybe i'll turn it to the police but afterwards i'm so sure i'm going to regret it everyday :(
But overall right now i think i'll take it and happily donate it to the people and children in need instead of giving it to the police which if they won't find the owner, it will be just trapped in the bank.
so putting it to use as a charity from the unknown owner is better than nothing, the unknown owner will thank me in the afterlife :)
    the worlds full of temptation
Bulletman , you must live in Canada! I would turn it in and wait. If it were drug money ...it's mine and once I have it there is no worry as to anything happening. If it were a persons life savings, I work my arse off for mine and do without in order to save it for special things so the karma would be strong if I took it in that case. The feeling of knowing you gave that person back what they worked so hard for would be enough of a reward, The world is full of dishonest and sick people, nice to show others the good also exists.
I would hand in a SMALL bag of cash to the police and waite to see who claims it and if the rightful owner turns up and offerer me a reward I would give them the full amount
well you've got to think that maybe its drug money or maybe bank money that a thief recently got rid of so just wait a minute make sure no one's looking at you suspiciously then grab the bag put the money in another bag or in your car, get rid of the empty bag and get the #$^& out of there

i'd buy a beautiful house over-looking the pacific. my furnishings would be elegant. i'd have it all. i'm so tired of not enough. when i got comfortable i'd make decisions on where my spare money would go, probably to the homeless in the united states
A wallet, I would return and have done so in the past. A large amount, lets say a million, oh well your beat. I'd blow through that money in a heart beat.
I found a briefcase with $60,000.00 in cashier's checks inside. The briefcase had been stolen and stashed under a building months before. I called the realestate agent who owned the bag and he wanted it back but did not want to see me or meet me. He said to leave the bag at a cafe for him to pick up later. So I did that and never heard anything more about it.
    ole hipster

Just goes to say that maybe one is better off keeping it if you know not where it came from! The agent was a complete total idiot or a thief or something not pleasant, I'm sure. If it were my money and you returned it I would be kissing your feet and ass to boot! lol

could have been a deposit on some swamp land

If i could find the owner I would return it, If it was legal money someone would put out notice it was gone, I would not turnit in I dont trust athorities.
Waaaaaaaa i would be so tempted and would invent different scenarios as to were the money came from like a drug deal that went wrong or i must have meant to find it because i deserve it lololol but the truth is i would hang on to it for a day or so and watch the news to see if anything came to light,if not i would have to hand it in maybe keeping half and if they find the rightful owner then i would also hand them the other half.I would be hoping like mad that it would be given to me because no one came forward . It would drive me mental to just keep it as its not mine in the first place, but if it was unclaimed then it would be MINE !!!!!!woohoo!!!
