    Most birds need grit for their gizzard to work properly at grinding seeds in their diet.  They additionally need it to produce eggshells (the females).  Since the shells are made of Calcium good sources of grit which are made of calcium are  ground oyster shells, they are inexpensive and easily utilized by the fowl, in your case the Muscovy duck.  Either broadcast spread onto floor, or ground of their pen, or offer free choice in a container which they cannot poop into, so off the ground.  Good luck,
