That detail is a callback to the Francois Borgel cases from the 1950s that were used on the Mido Multifort Powerwind watches. We featured one in the shop a while back, and they're still relatively affordable on link the secondary market. There was also the IWC link Hermet watches which are also pretty affordable in all their variants. But all credit to Nick link Kenyon at "Boss Hunting" who pointed out, that the name of the Hermetique is also likely a shoutout to Borgel as well.
