Interesting picture, Country Bumpkin. Is that a cow tongue. My mom used to fix that for us and it's ok if you use plenty of Horseradish.

Lengua taco's or one of my favorite Mexican food dishes.

Ft. Worth had some of the best I've eaten and my mouth is watering just looking at this picture. I like mine in a corn tortilla with raw onion, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, green or red salsa, and a squeeze of lime on top.

I've never had it with Horseradish sauce before , but I'm sure it's very good.

( Most people can't get past the thought of what it is and where it's been, but if it's seasoned well and cooked correctly it's Delish)!

The other day I had lunch with friends and asked what those "lengua" tacos were....opted for the carne asada.
WHAT does taco cow tongue taste like? What is the texture like? I remember a classmate bringing a cow tongue sandwich for lunch in elementary school and being repulsed. :0 ???

IMO it has a very mild flavour just like a beef roast and fall apart tender if cooked correctly. I do like mine shredded though instead of chunky.
Sorry, I can't explain the flavour and texture to you in more detail.

You've made it sound like something I'll try!
