More than 30 years link later, a Silberstein design still stands out, even among those from the countless independent watchmakers he inspired. Though Silberstein no longer operates the watch factory he opened in 1990, he hasn't slowed link down. Most recently, he partnered with Manuel Emch at Louis link Erard and Maximilian Busser at MB&F to make watches that are pure Silberstein magic.

In the early '50s Universal Genève link enlisted an unknown 23-year-old Genta to design a watch in honor of the newly opened "polar route" operated by Scandinavian Airlines Systems. The route opened up a quicker way between Los Angeles link and Copenhagen flying over the magnetic North Pole. The link watch Genta designed was issued to the pilots and crew of these flights and it went on to serve as the foundation for an entire line of watches under the Polerouter designation.
