You are no supplying enough information. Laptop?, desktop, external speakers? Mac, PC?
I would first look for the obvious problems such as volume control, pull up the sound driver, make sure its not muted.
Many times, just a clean reboot is all that's needed. you might get lucky and the computer will correct itself.
