The southwestern part of Khuzestan province of Iran and southeastern part of Basra province of Iraq had the name of Hindia/India from the ancient times, some parts of this land have still this name, like the 3,000 years old city of Hindian/Hindijan (Hendigan in the Sassanid era):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hendijan
