        It's possible, b/c people have fallen in love thru writing each other letters before the days of cell phone, skype, web cams, etc.  You can pick up someone 's vibes when you read their letters or when you talk to the on the phone. They tell you many things that they like, that you have in common with them. And they tell you how good they're going to treat you. A picture helps.
