    how do i care for asparagus patch after the growing season

    we have an asparagus patch but are not sure what to do after growing season. Do we cut the ferns down or leave them?

      After they die yes cut them down,remove the dead stalks. I try to do it in late fall or early spring. I Just rake the dead stuff aside and burn it. If you leave it lay the new crop next year may get bugs in it that causes the plant to curl. you can put cow manure down on top and put a thick layer of mulch in between them.
