    Question for cat owners

Do only male cats cover their poop ? That's the way it is with my male cat. Neither of his sisters cover their poop. He goes in the litter box and covers it for them.

My male cat always scrapes and covers his, but my female doesn't, wether it's in the garden or in their tray. She was taken away from her mum at eight weeks, which is a bit early, We think that may be the reason, as their mum's teach them, don't they.

One of my girls, Molly was taken away from the mother cat when she was only 1 month old ......b/c the mother was not working with her very well. But, Molly was using the litter box and eating soft food at one month....when I got her. Later,
she used to poop on the carpet in the basement as far away from the box as she could get. She's ok now with using the box, since I changed the type of litter.

Sounds like your male cat is multi-tasking.What a heck of a guy.

to itsmee.......Thanks for the tip about the dried chilies :-)

Our little Queenies used to cover my garden in cat-shmoo..liddle darlings..I discouraged them by covering the bare bits of the planting with cardboard..lol...now they are forced to use the sandbox provided that is further away...where they cover the offerings...sometimes it looks like a pyramid project in there...lol

    itsmee

I scattered dry chilies in my Rose and Lantana gardens The cats stayed away, A group of feral cats had invaded our neighborhood. They just disappeared one night BOOM. I do not have clue what happened.

They may have been moved by volunteers...or one can only hope...we have Catspan here which is an island wide group promoting feral cat colonies to keep rodents like rats and mice in check..the cats are well looked after with shelters and feeding stations where they are fed daily!
    itsmee

I don['t think that's what happened to our Feral cats. Our town is just not that evolved and kind I'm sorry to say. lindilou, you live in a good place. I have lived in good places ... but the one I'm currently in ... just isn't.
    lindilou

Time to come to the island then.....I'll be waiting! xo

Oh how I wish ... Ever hear that song "I'm About A Mover! You live in a BEAUTIFUL place ... and now I hear a kind place. You know, I think the two go together.

Both of my male cats cover their poop SOMETIMES………...

My female covers her poop. You must have lazy females or untidy females.

At last we have an admission that lazy and untidy females exist.

Oh it does. Some women are absolute pigs.

My Peeve runs away in embarrassment after she sneezes. She'd have a break down if she farted.  Yes, she covers her poop.

Colleen, the Benadryl had STOPPED that horrid sneeze. I just give her a tiny bit -- a quarter of a teaspoon.

    itsmee

I forgot about this ... need to take out the Benedryl for Peeve again.

Peanut is fastidious about covering her stuff, both in her litter box or if she is outside.
Kitty used to be conscientious, but about two years ago, she not only gave up covering her stuff, she gave up the litter box, too.  Being an INSIDE cat, that didn't work too well.

Cat Microchip – A Boon to Cat Owners

A Cat Microchip seems to be the best way to search a pet cat and get him home fast when it gets lost. It is undoubtedly a boon for such pets as well as the pet owners and the tine gadget makes the reunion of the pets with their respective owners.

That will be enough of promoting your product for free here. You've drug up enough old questions with this agenda.

I heard that they're going to be putting RFD micro-chips in people too.
