Tether the camera to the computer with the usb cable that came with the camera. Or see if your computer has a cd slot you can put the card from the camera in.

plugged it in it made a noise but nothing came up on the screen,will try the card thanks
Try a different USB port. When you get a chance, plug another device into the port you already tried and see if the noise reoccurs. If it does, you may want to have your computer serviced.
